As the premiere state university in the province, Biliran Province State University, arose from the conversion of the Naval State University (NSU), formerly the Naval Institute of Technology (NIT), in accordance with Republic Act No. 11170. The aforementioned legislative bill is the result of the academic community's and Biliranons' collective efforts, unending prayers, and noble dreams.

Eighty (80) BS Nursing students were conferred with their nursing pins and badges during the 14th Capping, Badge Investiture and Candle Lighting Ceremonies of the School of Nursing Health Sciences (SNHS) last November 15 at BiPSU gymnasium.

Biliran Province State University- Gender and Development Office welcomed Guimaras State University(GSU) on its benchmarking of Gender and Development (GAD) attribution last November 9 at the President's Convergence room, sharing the unit's best practices.

After its two-day on-site validation visit for COPC Applications and monitoring of Limited Face-to-Face Classes, Student Affairs and Services and Program Offerings last November 3-4, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office VIII, through Dr. Maximo C. Aljibe, Regional Director granted the nine (9) programs of Biliran Province State University systems Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC), today.
