About the Office of Internationalization

The Office of Internationalization is under the direct supervision of the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Internationalization and Strategic Partnerships (VSAISP) per BiPSU Governing Board Resolution No. 25 series of 2026. Before this, the office was called the "International Affairs Office" and as under the supervision of the Office of the President(OP).

OP Special Order No. 23 series of 2025 has officially designated Ms. Chiejheaca Jehanna G. Yu as the director effective March 26, 2025. She succeeded Atty. Dick Guiller Delfin  as director. The said special order outlines the functions, duties, and responsibilities of the office:


  1. Direct the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the university's global presence and partnerships, including promoting the university abroad to attract international students, faculty, and funding.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with foreign universities, and governmental and nongovernmental organizations to foster collaborative programs, research, and exchanges. Represent the university in international forums to establish agreements with foreign institutions for mutual benefit.
  3. Work with various university departments and external stakeholders to facilitate international projects such as student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and international conferences.
  4. Manage the budget, staff, and resources of the International Affairs Office to ensure effective service delivery, adherence to university policies, and compliance with national and international standards. Advise university leadership on global trends in higher education and potential opportunities for collaboration.
  5. Support academic departments in globally-oriented curricula development, educate the university community on global issues, and facilitate the integration of international students and scholars into the university community, cultivating a welcoming and inclusive campus environment.
