The Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) School of Technology and Computer Studies (STCS) has officially commenced its International Faculty and Students Immersion Program at the University of Da Nang, Vietnam. This strategic initiative serves to deepen global academic ties, sharpen technical competencies, and provide participants with firsthand exposure to international industry standards in software development and emerging technological fields. The delegation successfully arrived at Da Nang International Airport on March 1, 2026, and is currently being hosted at the Da Nang University of Economics (DUE) International Dormitory.

The program officially began on March 2, 2026, at the Software Development Centre (SDC) Innovation Room. Following a warm opening welcome from Director Nguyen Ho Huy Cuong, the morning session delved into advanced technical content. The morning featured a deep-dive session on Building Transformer-Based Natural Language Processing (NLP), facilitated by Data Scientist Dr. Nguyen Sy Thin. This session provided participants with critical insights into the architecture and application of modern language models. In the afternoon, the focus shifted to hands-on application where students were divided into three groups to undertake practical exercises and collaborative activities. Mentorship was provided by Mr. Bui Minh Hieu, who guided the groups through the specific instructions and technical workflows required to complete their assigned tasks.

Dr. Reynold G. Bustillo, BSCS Chairperson, formally accepted the commitment to this partnership, expressing his appreciation to the SDC officials for the opportunity. Dr. Reymon M. Santiañez also addressed the students, encouraging them to fully engage with this international experience to broaden their academic and professional perspectives. This inaugural day established a foundation of shared commitment, setting a positive trajectory for the technical sessions and collaborative engagements to follow.
