Mr. Jeson V. Viñas, the Director of the Sentro ng Wika at Kultura, has been officially introduced as the Editor-Consultant for Visayas for a prestigious international literary project. He will serve in this capacity for the upcoming KAFAMPI Series titled Halo-halo | Iba-iba: Samot-saring mga Akda.

The project is a collaborative effort between the Kapisanan ng mga Filipinong Awtor at Manunulat sa Pilipinas, Inc. (KAFAMPI), Mindshapers Co., Inc., and M.E. Publications. Known as a dedicated teacher and writer from the BiPSU-Naval Campus, Viñas is recognized as a member of the editorial board for the anthology Kusina ng Talinghaga, which was also released by the same publishers.

This appointment represents a profound weaving of worthiness, as Viñas blends his academic expertise with a deep commitment to regional storytelling. His leadership in this international edition reflects the BiPSU Core Value of Brilliance, embodying the university’s standard that "We excel in what we do." By guiding the curation of Visayan literature for a global audience, he demonstrates the high level of professional mastery expected of the university’s faculty.

Viñas’s recent appointment follows his remarkable success at the Gawad Pamana ng Pluma International held on December 6, 2025, in Baguio City. During the ceremony, he was honored with the Platinum Award for Katangi-tanging Manunulat (Exceptional Writer), a recognition given to educators who have made significant contributions to literature and leadership.

Recognized as "Dangal ng KAFAMPI," his exceptional dedication to promoting literary excellence continues to inspire writers both across the country and overseas. In his role as Editor-Consultant, he will help oversee the international edition of the series, which aims to showcase a diverse collection of literary works.

The initiative has also opened a call for submissions, inviting writers to contribute to this global literary endeavor.
