In line with the observance of National Women’s Month, Biliran Province State University's (BiPSU) Gender and Development (GAD) Office, in collaboration with the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), organized a two-day Workforce Onboarding and Gender Sensitivity Training. The event occurred on March 13 and March 20 at the BiPSU Hyflex Audio Visual Center (HAVC).

The training aimed to equip newly-hired teaching and non-teaching staff with essential knowledge about the university's brand values, processes, ethical standards, and code of conduct. Emphasis was placed on fostering inclusivity and addressing discrimination and harassment within the institution.

In his address, BiPSU President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr. underscored the importance of upholding the university's mission, vision, and core values among all members of the university’s workforce, regardless of their role.

“In realizing the mission and vision, it is also your job and the responsibility of each one in the university, regardless of their work status,” Dr. Cañezo said.

The first day of the event featured presentations on the university's organizational structure and functions by Mr. Ralph Arvic T. Arcenal, University and Board Secretary, and discussions on the code of conduct and ethical standards for public officials and employees led by Atty. Dick Guiller G. Delfin. Mr. Michael M. Dela Cruz, Director II of the Civil Service Commission Field Office (CSC FO) in Biliran, provided insights into policies concerning overtime, undertime, service credits, vacation, and sick leave. Espejo, Anti-Sexual Harassment Unit Head.

The day 1 also included an oath-taking ceremony for newly hired and promoted employees, officially welcoming them as university partners.
