GHF launches Accelerated Research Mentorship Program with BiPSU as pilot institution

Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) has been chosen as the pilot institution for the Accelerated Research Mentorship Program, initiated by Global Health Focus (GHF), through its founder, Dr. Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III. The program was virtually launched today, March 25.

The said program aims to propel universities towards enhanced research productivity within a condensed timeframe and at a minimal cost. Specifically, it aims for a 15-fold (1,500%) increase in Scopus publications for BiPSU.

Dr. Prisno, alongside Mr. Jerico Ogaya, outlined that the program will prioritize mentoring faculty members and equipping them with comprehensive training and resources to refine their research writing and publication skills.

In his address, BiPSU President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr. urged faculty members to seize the opportunity not only for personal academic advancement but also for the university's benefit. He highlighted the potential for interdisciplinary research and increased publication opportunities through the collaboration between BiPSU and GHF.

“By facilitating collaboration networking opportunities, we hope to inspire interdisciplinary research endeavors and increase your [faculty] publication opportunities,” said Dr. Canezo.

The virtual launch, organized by BiPSU’s Research and Development Office (RDO), was attended by university officials and faculty members from both the Naval and Biliran campuses.
